01 // AGREEMENT
Acceptance and eligibility
By using The Airlock, creating an account, signing the manifest, buying a boarding pass, or submitting mission proof, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. If you use The Airlock for a company or project team, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization.
You are responsible for your account, credentials, profile information, mission declarations, submitted URLs, and any activity under your account.
02 // WHAT YOU BUY
The Airlock service
The Airlock is a public accountability service for builders. A paid boarding pass gives you access to the manifest, a public boarder profile, mission declaration, mission proof submission, and the accountability mechanics described on the site.
The Airlock is not a course, investment product, business partner, payment processor for your app, employer, agency, or guarantee that your app will earn revenue.
We may update, pause, add, remove, rename, or change features as the product evolves, including mission review workflow, profile features, stacks, pricing tiers, or public display formats.
03 // SHIP OR AIRLOCK
Mission rules
- After boarding, you must claim your handle and declare a mission through the manifest or dashboard flow.
- A mission must describe one app, launch, or customer-facing release that can be reviewed at a public URL.
- To count as shipped, the submitted URL must let a stranger reach the product and a real payment path, paid waitlist, or paid feature gate without private explanation.
- Proof must be submitted before the hatch closes. The standard hatch is 30 days after mission declaration unless the product states a different deadline for a specific mission.
- The Airlock may reject proof that is inaccessible, unverifiable, misleading, illegal, abusive, not yours to submit, or outside the mission rules.
- The Airlock has final discretion over mission review, confirmation, rejection, airlock events, and redemption markings.
If you miss the deadline or your proof is rejected, your mission may be marked AIRLOCKED, your seat may be vacated, and public records may show the handle, seat, mission, date, and status. If you enabled optional stacks such as Crew Alert or The Wake, those may run according to the product flow.
04 // MONEY
Payments, prices, and refunds
Prices are shown at checkout. The original seat ladder, post-100 pricing, re-boarding price, plan names, and available checkout methods may change prospectively. Taxes, exchange rates, card fees, and bank charges may apply depending on your location and payment method.
Payments are processed by third-party providers such as Clerk and Stripe. You must provide accurate billing information and comply with their checkout terms.
Unless required by law or approved by The Airlock in writing, boarding pass payments and re-boarding payments are non-refundable. Missing a hatch, choosing not to declare, failing proof review, or deciding not to use the product does not create a refund right.
Mandatory consumer rights, statutory withdrawal rights, and chargeback rights that cannot be waived are not limited by these Terms.
05 // YOUR MATERIAL
User content and public records
You keep ownership of your profile text, social links, avatar source material, mission declarations, URLs, proof links, and other content you submit.
You grant The Airlock a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, display, publish, transmit, modify for formatting, and create public accountability records from your submitted content as needed to operate, improve, secure, and promote the service.
You must have all rights needed to submit your content. Do not submit confidential information, private client work, credentials, illegal content, malware, abusive material, or content that violates another person's rights.
Public mission, seat, Wake, confirmation, airlock, and redemption records may remain visible after account closure, re-boarding, or deletion requests where retention is part of the service mechanic or required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute reasons.
06 // CONDUCT
Acceptable use
- Do not attack, scrape, overload, reverse engineer, or bypass the service, APIs, checkout, auth, rate limits, or review process.
- Do not impersonate others, reserve misleading handles, submit fake payment proof, or manipulate mission status.
- Do not harass other users or publish personal data about others without permission.
- Do not use The Airlock to promote illegal activity, fraud, malware, hate, exploitation, or rights-infringing content.
We may remove content, suspend access, reject proof, vacate a seat, or terminate an account if we believe these Terms were violated or the service is at risk.
07 // THIRD PARTIES
Third-party services and links
The Airlock integrates with third-party services for authentication, checkout, hosting, storage, avatar generation, and communications. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies.
Mission URLs, proof URLs, social links, public profiles, and external pages are controlled by their owners. We are not responsible for third-party sites, products, prices, downtime, security, or content.
08 // NO GUARANTEES
Disclaimers and liability limits
The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, mission approval, commercial success, revenue, audience growth, or that the accountability mechanic will make you ship.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, The Airlock and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, reputational harm, business interruption, failed launches, or missed opportunities.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid The Airlock in the 12 months before the claim or USD 100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations. In those places, the limits apply only to the extent permitted by law.
09 // INDEMNITY
Your responsibility for claims
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless The Airlock and its operator from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your content, your mission URLs, your proof URLs, your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights.
10 // CHANGES AND CONTACT
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the product changes. The updated date above shows when the latest version went live. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
